IISS @ Shangri-la 1-3 June 2007
Finally ended my duties @ Shangri-la, it has been 3 days of hard work. Everyday got to wake up damn early just to do my preopt-sweep. Totally not enought rest for the guys like us very shack. Lots of police around i can say haha basically it is like a heavily guarded fortress. Those who have been near the site for IMF should know what it is like @ Shangri-la.
Shangri-la is one of the well-known 5 stars hotel in Singapore. Overnite there is not a bad experience after all. Got good room service, facilities, decorations etc.. After a day of sweep can go back and take a short nap before the next sweep start again. Had to get around using my security pass, without that access card even a mosquito cannot get through all the sentries that is set up at almost every junction and entrance/exit. I will give a 10/10 for the level of security in @ Shangri-la for IISS 2007.
Every night we get to watch out favourites show as the hotel room there got almost every channel that SCV got to offer. So you can imagine how much will the subscription be every month haha. Beds are not enough for many of us, as the king size bed already fully pack and also some picnic bed and 2 large sofa. Barely enough for the night depending on the number of ppl inside the room. Got to play some cards, PSP and PS2..As for food it is settled by Singapore Food Industries =)
Ended early today, got to go back home after packing up everything and tidy our room ready to check out. It is a hell load of stores, equipments and gears. Carried many things to load up our own minibus to bring back to camp.
