Book Out Day, Home Sweet Home....=)

Finally after 5 days of SISPEC training, i can be at home and going out again, anywhere but Pasir Laba Camp..Freaking hell at boon lay there so damn far waste my time just to travel there alone. If take can it will be a burn to my wallet definately, that goes without saying. Journey back home - Took their shuttle bus then, took MRT to YCK then from there take bus 76 back! total it takes 1h30 mins just for travel.

This week had been quite tiring especially for all the training, lectures and so on..mainly physical one lah can say so, coz everyday sure got 2 excercise minimum + maybe 1 or 2 lecture and talk.. And this is just the start only maybe a scratch on the surface there will be more to come in the upcoming week and after that..Mentally, i am prepare as for physical still starting to cope coz that time POP from Tekong then got ard 12 days block leave nv go excercise haha then now go back train a bit stress...=) As what the instructors there always say remember "FABB" which means For a Better Body.. how true can that be? You will see it after 10 weeks of BSLC course, now 1 week had passed another 9 more weeks to go which is exactly the same duration as BMTC.

On the first 2 days all mainly talk and lecture, also got a lot of endurance run - 4km in 15 mins etc, 5 km in 20 mins and so on...but in SISPEC dun hab 5BX leh haha lucky...just mainly they want to shape you up and build up your stamina for the tougher training ahead. We also have lecture on signals where you need to remember alot of things, then fun part is the voice procedure where you need to know how to talk over the radio set for communication purposes, all these things in BMTC we never got a chance to do.. We experiment with 3 models of radio set, some sort like walkie-talkie..From the oldest model to the latest and we have practical and hands on learning with the radio. For example "A" over the radio is known as Alpha, "B" is known as Bravo and "C" is known as Charlie and so on until "Z". Guess what is P? Then on the 3rd day we got our first IPPT categorization test to determine which group will we fall into base on your performance, there will be 4 group that is A,B,C and last but not least D. For me i am in B, nearly got into A because of my 2.4KM, then as for A the training will be the toughest and D will be the slackest...Then A,B about the same C,D also about the same intensity. Just yesterday we went to see live firing at some forested area near our camp. Marched for ard 20 mins to our destination, climb up a very steep hill and to the top of the hill you know what we see? The view and scenary is simply out of this world and stunning!!!!From the top of that so call hill, we can see like 8-10 more hills like that all around the place where we are standing, then the hills are all covered with thick forest, its like a shirt for the hill..basically all around us are forest and more forest, for the first time i see such a nice scenary in Singapore, at first i still thought i am in Malaysia or Indonesia...Then across ourview are like steps on a hill, there will be like layers of flat ground all around the hill opposite us. There will be targets of all sort for the firers to shoot and demo the power of the guns they are using to us, and the guns they use we will also be using that in a few weeks time...They got 1 section of demostrators, some carry SAW, some carry M-203, some Metador, some SAR-21 (Singapore Rifle, i have seen it and use it =p, it is cool!, Just that a bit heavy but the laser sight and 1.5X scope is excellent!!!). Overall, they put up a good demonstration and i am impress with the fire power that SAF have...

The food in SISPEC is definately better then in Tekong, coz they are provided by Singapore Food Industry whereas in Tekong it is from NTUC...The settings and everything in the canteen is also better. Basically everything in SISPEC is better!...you know what i mean. The training also better and also need to sing song everywhere we march, they are very particular about the way you march and sing in SISPEC, coz you be the leader in the future and must teach your man the correct thing etc..Our Company - Alpha is also more welfare then other company due to the OC and the commanders inside..as for the rest it is the same as other coy.

Then today i participated in the rehearsal for the COC parade tis coming tues..It stands for Change of Command...The whole rehearsal was broken down into a few parts and there are quite a number of SAR-21 drills to know and remember...Everything must be done perfectly and swiftly and that cannot afford to have and mistakes. Quite tiring lah doing all the drills, but at the same time feel quite good, coz out of the whole company of ard 200 ppl, 48 ppl are chosen. It is a prestigious event to be in and see how they do the change of command thing in SISPEC.

With all these I end my story...
