Into its 15th year, the SAFRA Sheares Bridge Run and Army Half Marathon promises you an enhanced running experience as you run pass along the iconic Benjamin Sheares Bridge as well as cultural and heritage landmarks of Singapore.
Organised by SAFRA, The Army and Singapore Sports Council, participation has grown significantly to over 60,000, making it the biggest mass running event on the local sports calendar since its inauguration in 1992. Runners will be treated to a scenic route starting at Esplanade Drive, through the Marina Bay, Chinatown and East Coast Park. For the first time, entertainers such as cheerleaders, percussion bands and cultural performances will cheer runners on along different segments of the route. The end point will be at the National Day Parade Floating Platform, where participants will be greeted by a Carnival @ the Bay. Enjoy various performances and get great bargains on sports apparels and equipment.
Besides the usual 21km Army Half Marathon, runners can now choose to compete in the new 12km SAFRA Sheares Bridge Run. Corporations can also form teams of 3 runners to vie for the 6km Corporate Team Challenge.
